Privacy Policy

Effective July 13, 2026

String Cup ("we", "us") is built around a simple idea: your family's conversations belong to your family. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We designed String Cup to collect as little personal information as possible.

Information we collect

How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your messages or photos for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process data only to provide their service to us:

We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of these providers; please review their respective policies.

Children's privacy

String Cup is a family app intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian, who invites family members — including children — into a private family space. Parents are responsible for the family members they add. We collect only the limited information described above and never require a child's phone number or email. A parent may review, edit, or delete a child's profile and information at any time from within the app, or by contacting us. If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and deletion

Text messages are deleted automatically after 48 hours. You can remove members and delete your family from within the app. To request permanent deletion of all data associated with your family, email us at stringcupapp@gmail.com.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your family's data safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
